Thank you parents and community!  Thanks to all of your fundraising efforts, we were able to buy a class set of 30 Chromebooks!  As with the other two class sets of netbooks we have, these can be borrowed by students at any time during the day to support their schoolwork.

​Our annual Parent Conference helps Peel board parents and caregivers discover new ideas to support children's learning and development. This year’s focus is Math. The deadline to register is March 27.​

​On February 26th, 25 grade 6 students will be participating in a nationwide Math League competition. The contest is geared toward giving the students an educationally enriching opportunity to participate in an academically-oriented activity and to gain recognition for mathematical achievement. Students obtaining a score of 29 or above out of 35 will be invited to the Annual Stanford-Math League Tournament  held at Stanford University over the summer.

​West Credit Secondary School is hosting its West Credit Information Night for the incoming grade 9 students and parents on Wednesday January 14, 2015 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. West Credit Secondary School meets the needs of vocational and applied students. They offer various programs including woodworking, auto, manufacturing, cooking and baking, landscape/horticulture, cosmetology in addition to a full range of academic subjects. They also have a strong visual arts, drama and physical education programs.

Yes I Can! 2015

Yes I Can! 2015

Our school is pleased to bring back the Yes I Can! Program this year for Grade 6 students. This innovative program is designed to improve student learning and to provide students with the necessary skills that will ensure future academic success.
In Numeracy, students will focus on Number Sense and Numeration using manipulatives and problem solving skills. In Literacy, students will be learning new reading strategies, along with inferencing and research skills. In both classes, time management and organization skills will be developed.
Selected students begin Numeracy Mondays on January 12th 2015 and Literacy Tuesdays on January 13th, 2015. Each session begins promptly at 2:30pm and ends at 3:15pm.
