Our Mission

Our mission describes our school's purpose. Our vision depicts our desired future. The principles needed to achieve our mission and vision are articulated in our values. Finally, the actions we need to demonstrate to make our mission, vision and values a reality are described in our collective commitments.

We have developed these statements in collaboration with our staff, students and families. They are part of our School Success Plan.

Mission

Edenbrook Hill's mission is to facilitate the academic, social, physical and emotional development of each child. In our diverse learning community, we will promote life-long learning, independent and critical thinking. We will do this by providing a safe, caring collaborative and inclusive environment where students can explore their strengths and affinities. This will provide our students with the skills and motivation necessary to meet new challenges as responsible and engaged citizens.

Vision

A variety of rich and innovative programs enable students to experience the joy and excitement of learning. Teachers model the love of learning and share best practice strategies, while engaged in supportive networks.

  • Focus on improving math instruction by participating in school and board professional development & training 4 junior math lead teachers.
  • Continue to explore inquiry in the Early Years by seeking out professional development opportunities & training 2 'on site' Early Years leads.
  • Continue to promote anti bullying behavior by recognizing student achievement at monthly assemblies.
  • Staff focus on moving up the SAMR ladder in our integrating of technology into our teaching and learning
