Peel board raises Pride and First Nations flags in schools, sites in June

In the month of June, Peel District School Board schools and sites will raise and/or display Pride and First Nations flags, in the spirit of equity, inclusion and reconciliation. The raising of flags is only one of the ways we help to create spaces that are inclusive, welcoming and safe for students, staff and families. Click on "Full Story" to read more.

Litterless Lunch

Litterless Lunch

A litterless lunch is simply that. It is a lunch that creates no waste!

It can involve the use of reusable containers or possibly no containers at all, to store and transport food.

It involves the elimination of disposable products and the encouraged use of reusable containers. The

goal of a litterless lunch is to reduce waste production, and therefore help to reduce our impact on the

Earth.  Even a small switch or change in lunch habits can have a significant impact on Eldorado’s waste production.

Starting Wednesday, January 24th ,  all Eldorado students are encouraged to bring an Litterless Lunch. EveryWednesday, a student will tally the number of participating students.  A Litterless Lunch is a lunch that has at least  3 items that are reusable. Please see our examples below:
