Important changes coming to SafeArrival system in May 2018.

The Peel District School Board is currently using the SafeArrival system by Synervoice Technologies. As Synervoice has been sold to West Communications, there will be slight changes to our SafeArrival system and how you will report your child's absence from school.  The phone number to report your child's absence will stay the same, but there are a few other changes.

Litterless Lunch

Litterless Lunch

A litterless lunch is simply that. It is a lunch that creates no waste!

It can involve the use of reusable containers or possibly no containers at all, to store and transport food.

It involves the elimination of disposable products and the encouraged use of reusable containers. The

goal of a litterless lunch is to reduce waste production, and therefore help to reduce our impact on the

Earth.  Even a small switch or change in lunch habits can have a significant impact on Eldorado’s waste production.

Starting Wednesday, January 24th ,  all Eldorado students are encouraged to bring an Litterless Lunch. EveryWednesday, a student will tally the number of participating students.  A Litterless Lunch is a lunch that has at least  3 items that are reusable. Please see our examples below:

Litterless Lunch  Ideas

Reusable containers, thermos, reusable drink bottle, plastic water bottle (with the intent that caps must be removed when put into the RECYCLING BOX), buy large yogurt containers and put a serving size into a reusable container

Tinfoil, Plastic Wrap, Wrappers, juice boxes,

wax paper

Monthly Green Certificates will be given to the top participating classes in the Primary and Junior/ Intermediate Division. It is Eco Clubs hope that our wonderful custodians will see a reduction in waste every Wednesday.  Thank you for helping turn our school GREEN.

Environmentally Yours,

                                   The ECO  Team
