New Outside Door Numbering System

New Outside Door Numbering System

You may have noticed we have some new small blue signs up above our outside doors.  These signs have been put up at our school (all Peel schools will soon have them) to better help coordinate with emergency services.  This Peel initiative will lead to better coordination and consistency in the event of an emergency.

If the doors lead to the inside of the school (and not just a storage room) then the number is on the inside of the school too.

So students are getting used to the numbers, as our old signs for the doors, (DOOR C, DOOR A) are now gone.

Our front door is now DOOR 1, lunches are to be dropped off as usual to DOOR 13, and students in grades 1-5 exit for recess and lunch recess from DOOR 6 and 7.  We'll all get used to the new numbering system soon!

EngageMath resources help parents support numeracy success

To support the teaching and learning of math, the Peel District School Board has developed EngageMath, a three-year comprehensive numeracy strategy.
