The importance of being on time

The importance of being on time

Does being late for school really matter?  In the morning rush, just getting your child out the door can be a victory.  But will the child be on time?  Occasionally, circumstances beyond your control will cause a late arrival.  But a pattern of late arrivals - even by just a few minutes - can have a negative impact.

- A last minute scramble can be stressful and send the child to school in the wrong frame of mind and not ready to learn

- Students miss social time with their peers before school begins

- Students who are late often feel embarrassed or self-conscious

We encourage all students to be on time for school as it starts the day on a positive note, socializing and learning together.  Remember that students are let into the building at 8:40, and that teachers are out on duty to supervise students at 8:30.  Thanks for your support and cooperation in getting students to school on time.
