Our Mission

Our mission describes our school's purpose. Our vision depicts our desired future. The principles needed to achieve our mission and vision are articulated in our values. Finally, the actions we need to demonstrate to make our mission, vision and values a reality are described in our collective commitments.

We have developed these statements in collaboration with our staff, students and families. They are part of our School Success Plan.

Mission

The Morton Way community strives for students' personal, social, physical and academic success. We do this by providing a safe and caring environment that promotes confidence, mutual respect, a love of learning and leadership opportunities. This commitment will enable our students to be healthy, active life-long learners and global citizens.

Vision

We will be a community of learners parents, students and staff that work together to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.

Parent Commitments

  • attend school information sessions and Parent-Teacher meetings
  • learn about what is expected in our children's classrooms
  • provide quiet and properly equipped space at home for children to complete homework
  • communicate any questions or concerns to teachers
