Boys and Girls

Recent brain-based research has demonstrated what we all know: boys and girls are different.  However, the research also shows that our educational system and curriculum can do a much better job at addressing the learning needs of your child.
Our school will be investigating a new method that will help boys and girls to achieve better grades.  Beginning August, 2009, there will be two grade 7 classes that are gender specific (one will be all boys, the other all girls), and two co-educational classes.  Hopefully we will discover that teaching a gender specific class to the gender's strengths will result in improved academic scores, as well as an improved attitude about school.
