Peel board shares online resources for students with special education needs

​​Earlier this week, we shared a working list of online supplemental learning resources to help mitigate learning loss during the COVID-19 shutdown, and to support students and families who wish to engage in independent, self-directed learning. We understand that these resources may not be suitable for all learning styles, particularly fo​​r some students with special education needs. That's why our Special Education department has launched a separate webpage of resources​ specifically for these students and their families.

COVID-19 Update from the Peel District School Board – March 26, 2020​

​As you have likely heard by now, Premier Doug Ford has announced that all publicly funded schools in Ontario will remain closed beyond April 5 to further help limit the spread of COVID-19. As such, all Peel District School Board schools, worksites and programs will remain closed/cancelled. At this time, we are waiting for Ministry direction on when schools and worksites will be expected to reopen.

​Peel board playgrounds and amenities closed until further notice ​

Effectively immediately, the Peel District School Board will be closing all school playgrounds and other amenities, including sports fields, and basketball and tennis courts, on school board property until further notice. Basketball hoops will also be removed from all secondary schools to limit groups from gathering.​ Click here​ for more information.
