Our Mission

Our mission describes our school's purpose. Our vision depicts our desired future. The principles needed to achieve our mission and vision are articulated in our values. Finally, the actions we need to demonstrate to make our mission, vision and values a reality are described in our collective commitments.

We have developed these statements in collaboration with our staff, students and families. They are part of our School Success Plan.

Through cooperation, learning and understanding, staff and parents will work together to develop our students into caring, responsible and involved citizens of the world. A safe and positive learning environment will assist our students in becoming lifelong learners who respect and appreciate the cultural diversity of our community.

Our school will provide students with critical learning experiences that will prepare them for becoming lifelong learners and citizens of the community and the world. We will also prepare our students for success in their school lives through teaching of leadership, social skills, problem-solving and conflict resolution, citizenship and achievement of their personal best.

  • Critical learning experiences such as technology, global awareness, literacy and numeracy, creative and kinesthetic disciplines.
  • Opportunities for success through academics, sports and participation.
  • We also value leadership, respectful and caring citizenship and stewardship, behaviour and social skills, problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Lastly we value achievement of each individual's personal best.
