Peel Learning Foundation aims to create hopeful tomorrows for Peel board students

​Peel Learning Foundation, a community-based, charitable organization, will officially introduce itself to the Peel community at a launch event on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019. In partnership with the Peel District School Board, the foundation was created to enable Peel board students to achieve personal excellence by providing resources to help them overcome barriers.

​In 2017, the board of trustees declared the first Friday in March as Lunchroom Supervisors Appreciation Day. This year, the recognition day falls on Friday, March 1, 2019. The Ministry of Education's 2018 interim Health and Physical Education (HPE) elementary curriculum, which came into effect in September 2018, includes changes to the section on Human Growth and Development. No changes were made to the secondary HPE curriculum.​

Shelter Bay Public School looks forward to welcoming our future kindergarten students (Born in 2015)

 

 

Registration Appointments:

Every Weekday Morning  from 9:00-12:00 pm

and Thursday,  January 17th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m.

  To book an appointment for registration, please call 905-826-5516

 

Please bring to registration:

1.Completed Registration Package –  Available at School office or Download at https://bit.ly/2z9pG5H

2.Proof of child's age – birth certificate, passport, citizenship card, permanent resident card, record of landing, work permit or refugee permit

3.Proof of address  [ Any 1 of the following: Ontario driver's license, utility bill, bank statement/client slip (directly from financial institution) , credit card statement. federal government forms (e.g. Social Insurance Number, Service Canada documents), purchase agreement]

4.Proof of custody – children must live with their parent(s) unless provided documentation supports an alternate living arrangement

5.Proof of immunization – proof that your child has been immunized, according to the recommended immunization schedule in Ontario, to protect against the following: diphtheria, mumps, polio, red measles, rubella (German measles), tetanus.  For information about immunization, please call Peel Public Health at 905-799-7700. It's important to know that the required immunization information forms must be completed before your child will be allowed to attend class.

​During the winter season, it's important to take precautions to avoid and help prevent the spread of germs and illnesses such as influenza or "the flu." Influenza is a disease that affects the airways and the lungs. The flu can spread from person to person and can sometimes cause severe illnesses.

Peel Public Health has provided these tips to help reduce the risk of becoming ill or spreading the flu:
