Registration now open for Peel board's annual parent conference

​The Peel District School Board is hosting its annual parent conference on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Mississauga Secondary School. This free learning event is open to Peel parents of students at all grade levels. Child care will not be provided.

The conference will focus on numeracy—30 out of 60 workshops help with math. Parents will still have the opportunity to attend workshops on other topics, including literacy, special education and science.

  • a powerful keynote presentation focused on math success
  • your choice of 60 practical workshops facilitated by Peel board staff

On March 2, all Peel parents, guardians and caregivers of children in kindergarten to grade 12 are invited to learn strategies to help coach young people in the skills necessary to move through tough emotions and challenges.​​

"The Great Gulp"

The Great Gulp is an annual event held every March to help create awareness about the importance of Peel drinking water in our lives. During Friday, March 10th DWVPS will take part in ‘The Great Gulp’ by organizing a school-wide, synchronized drink of tap water. The event, along with additional tap water activities, creates a memorable learning experience where students have the opportunity to learn about tap water in Peel. All participating schools are entered into a draw with the Region of Peel to win a tap water refill station.
