Peel board says, “Facts matter,” provides factual guide to revised HPE curriculum

The Peel District School Board has produced Working together to keep our students safe and healthy: a parent's guide to the revised Health and Physical Education curriculum. The guide provides factual information about the revised curriculum, the actions the board has taken in response, and a grade-by-grade chart of what students will learn. The guide will be distributed to every parent with students in grades 1 to 12.

Parent resources help you support your child’s learning

In October 2014, the Peel District School Board sought input from families to help guide the development of resources that help parents and caregivers support their children's learning. The result is a new Help Your Child online resource centre on the Peel board's website with the topics families said were important to them.

Learning In Our Neighborhood (LION) program

8:35 AM - 10:00 AM, Kindergarten Yellow Pod (K2Y) - North Side Entrance
Derry West Village is so pleased to announce our partnership with Peel’s Child Development Resource Connection which will connect our community with information, resources, training and services that promote quality family life.  The LION program is a mobile early learning centre program  for children birth to six years old.  Families are invited to participate in this parent/child interactive play-based program with a language, literacy and numeracy focus.  This program is designed to offer parents and caregivers the opportunities to engage in early learning programs with their children and talk to early childhood professionals about parenting and early child development, as well as access information on services to support individual and family needs.  Newcomers to Canada can learn about services throughout Peel including, settlement, employment and language support programs.
We invite our parent community to attend the weekly LION Program starting on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 8:35 to 10:00 a.m. in the Yellow Kindergarten Pod (K2Y) on the north side of the school.
Please see Ms. Grewal or Mrs. Cummings in the office for more information.
