Registration now open for Peel board's annual parent conference

​The Peel District School Board is hosting its annual parent conference on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Mississauga Secondary School. This free learning event is open to Peel parents of students at all grade levels. Child care will not be provided.

The conference will focus on numeracy—30 out of 60 workshops help with math. Parents will still have the opportunity to attend workshops on other topics, including literacy, special education and science.

  • a powerful keynote presentation focused on math success
  • your choice of 60 practical workshops facilitated by Peel board staff

Commence ‘17: Discovering the Good Life

An annual conference hosted by Community Living Ontario’s Student Links - February 1-2, 2017

If you are passionate about the prospect of people who have an intellectual disability discovering their own unique and exciting place in the world, Commence '17 is for you!

Whether you are an educator, student, support worker, friend or family member of a youth who has an intellectual disability, we have an exciting mix of professional perspectives and lived experiences to draw inspiration from.

This year's conference in Richmond Hill will focus on discovering the ‘Good Life’ - establishing and sustaining rewarding social roles, cultivating hope for the road ahead and finding our gifts along the way.
