Applewood Heights Secondary School School Council proudly parents an evening with Joe Rich, MSW, RSW, a social worker in private practice as he explores the ins-and-outs of parenting today's teens. This event will take place on Thursday May 30, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Applewood Heights Secondary School.
The presentation is entitled: PARENTING THE LONG JOURNEY: FOCUS ON RAISING TEENS!
Parenting teens has its challenges and rewards, and navigating through the issues of today's teenager's school life, social life, household chores and technology and screen time (to name a few!) can sometimes leave parents feeling frustrated and helpless. This evening presentation is designed to help parents with some practical approaches and suggestions in raising healthy and resilient teens.
Although Joe is best known for his role as guest therapist on CTV's Marilyn Denis show for the past 8 years ( and 15 years on CityLine!) he is also an author (Parenting; The Long Journey) and has been featured in many radio broadcasts, newspapers and magazines across the country. Join us for a fun and practical evening- an opportunity to learn and laugh with others on the journey we call parenting.
