BCSS is a community school with high standards, a strongly committed staff, wide opportunities to learn, an extensive extra-curricular program and a positive climate for learning.

- Respect - a manner that indicates courtesy, consideration, politeness and duty; taking an active role to eliminate behaviour that is injurious.
- Integrity - faithfulness to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character (honest, responsible, goal-oriented, dedicated, committed).
- Commitment - contributes in a positive manner to the learning environment throughout the school and attempts to mediate conflict through dialogue,
- Caring- concerned or interested in our school, to provide assistance/support for those in need; to identify with and understand anothers' situation.
