Cawthra Park’s STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) Club presents our STEM Conference which will take place in the morning of February 21, 2020. This is a collaborative opportunity for all Cawthra Park Students (Grades 9-12) to engage in presentations and workshops led by experts in the emerging STEM Fields who have had significant impacts and contributions to their industry.
Period A will consist of light refreshments following a keynote speech in the school auditorium. The cost of attending just Period A is $2.
Period B will allow students to break off into classroom sessions to hear from their selected speakers of choice. Each speaker will present two repeat 35-minute sessions. Students will be rotating through sessions to hear two different speakers. Students will select their 2 SESSIONS by speaking to Grade 12 Students ALAINA DHAWAN, JILLIAN DHAWAN, and JOELLE PERESIN in the CAFETERIA from February 10 - February 14, 2020. Students must provide PROOF OF PAYMENT (i.e., a screenshot of receipt or printed receipt) in order to select two speakers in the cafeteria. Speaker preference will be on a first-come, first-serve basis to ensure students are equally distributed amongst speakers. The cost of attending just Period B is $2.
The cost of attending Period A and B is $4.
Senior Girls Volleyball Win
The senior girls volleyball team's stepped up their game against Father Goetz on Wednesday, January 15 (25-18, 25-16) to secure their 6th win.
Leading the team in kills (points) was Sarah Arasakrishnan and Kennedy Stevens.
The top server was Anya Bruni.
Our top defenders were Matea Lozic and Mary Coughlan.
The win secures a spot in the playoffs!
The next 2 games are on Feb 4 and Feb 12.
Canadian Computing Competition
Students who wish to write the Canadian Computing Competition on Wednesday February 12 should register via School Cash Online by Monday February 3. All students with programming experience are welcome!

Night School registration forms are now available in the guidance office.
Math Contest Extension
The deadline for purchase has been extended to next Friday, January 24 for the Pascal (grade 9), Cayley (grade 10), and Fermat (grade 11) Math contests. They will be written in late February. Sign-up on Cash On-line.
Jan 22 - No cafeteria service
On Wednesday January 22, there will be no cafeteria food services available. Students who choose to bring a lunch may eat in the cafeteria. Since there will be exams continuing in the library, some areas of the school may be out of bounds during the lunch period on Wed Jan 22, if students decide to remain at school.
If you wish to write the Pascal (grade 9), Cayley (grade 10), or Fermat (grade 11) Math Contests, please sign up next week (Jan. 13-17) on School Cash On-Line. The Contests will be written in late February.
