Senior Sunrise
“Calling all CAWTHRA SENIORS: Lets celebrate our last year together, Friday March 22 at 7AM. Cawthra Student Council is hosting Senior Sunrise, a time for all the seniors to come together to watch the sun come up. Come join us Friday March 22 in the morning in the back field (by the bleachers) and sit with your friends to watch the beautiful sunrise! You’re welcome to bring blankets and your own mugs to enjoy delicious tea. Can’t wait to see you bright and early!”

Senior badminton team
On Tuesday, three of our doubles teams placed in the top 16 at the Turner Fenton badminton tournament.
*Out of 64 boys double​s team, Jason White & Ryan Smith tied for 5th place with a hard fought game against John Fraser. 
*Finishing in 9th place were Carlos Carandang & Ethan Maeda, Lagan Bansal & Julia Huang, and Jennifer Li & Kiandra Widodo.

Bake Sale
“Hey Cawthra Park!
We will be having a bake sale on Friday March 29 during period C lunch. Today, there are less than 1,800 mature Giant Pandas living in the wild. Help preserve this special species by coming out to purchase a panda cake pop. Cake pops will be sold for one dollar each and all proceeds will be donated to World Wildlife Foundation so that we can help save the pandas. Hope to see you there!”

Prom Committee Meeting
Are you in grade 11 or 12? Do you love planning event? If you answered YES to both questions then listen up! The Prom Committee is perfect for you!!! Our first introductory meeting will take place at lunch in room 204. If you want to share your input in how this years Prom will be organized then come out this Friday at lunch to room 204 or see Ms. Mielczarek in the social science office if you have any questions!

Lloyd Carr-Harris Foundation Scholarship
Attention graduating students - the Peel District School Board awards the Lloyd Carr-Harris Foundation Scholarship to a graduating student registered in Business or Commerce studies at a recognized Canadian University.  The award is for $5,000 towards the first year tuition at Canadian university.  Cawthra is able to nominate one student for this scholarship.  Please come to guidance to pick up an application package.  All completed applications are to be submitted to guidance by Monday April 8th at 3:00pm.

Dufferin-Peel summer school registration forms are now available in the guidance office.

Canadian Federation of University Women Scholarship
Attention all graduating female students.  The Canadian Federation of University Women scholarship application can now be picked up in the guidance office.  This scholarship is open to all graduating students who are planning to attend a University in Canada or a Canadian College Degree Course.  Cawthra is able to nominate one applicant for this scholarship.  Completed application package is to be returned to the guidance office by Monday April 15 at 3:00 pm.

3d Printing Challenge
The 3D Printing Challenge is on. Any interested student is invited to imagine and invent an organizational object. The object is due at the Dragon's Den Pitch event on May 15th. Badminton Team and Club
Badminton season is here! All students interested in playing badminton are free to join the club on Wednesday and Thursday after school. Badminton club is for beginner, intermediate, and competitive players. All students interested in Senior team tryouts are expected to join badminton club. U of Guelph - Follow up visit
Are you going to the University of Guelph in the Fall,  A representative will be here on Thursday April 4th in the conference room (next to the main office) from 8;15 - 9:00 a.m. Come and ask any questions you may have.
