Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test ONLINE October 20

All grade 10 students will be writing their Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) online on Oct. 20, 2016. This opportunity is also available to students who did not pass the test on previous attempts. We have scheduled ALL our current grade 10 students, as well as those who were unsuccessful in previous years, in either a morning or afternoon session. Students requiring accommodations as outlined in their IEP, or as ELLs, will be provided with space and time beginning in the morning.

The test will be facilitated in a classroom where students can choose to use their own devices or technology provided by the school. All students can also practice for the literacy test online at  www.eqao.com.

Please note:  Students NOT writing the OSSLT will be studying at home on this day.

A letter has been sent home with your child on September 22, 2016 detailing how Central Peel S.S. will be administering the literacy test. Click on  "X" to view this letter.

All of these are covered by Reliable Life's student accident insurance plan.

Parent resources help you support your child’s learning

In October 2014, the Peel District School Board sought input from families to help guide the development of resources that help parents and caregivers support their children's learning. The result is a new Help Your Child online resource centre on the Peel board's website with the topics families said were important to them.
