Clarkson Students Place 1st and 2nd in National French Speech Contest
Canadian Parents for French (CPF) is pleased to announce the winners of the CPF National Concours d’art oratoire 2013, held on Saturday May 25 at the University of Ottawa. The Peel District School Board had two candidates in attendance after they had both won in their respective categories at the provincial level.
We are pleased to announce that at the National competition, Jounaid Lyaghfouri from Clarkson Secondary School placed 2nd overall in the Francophone category and Liam Bekirsky, also a student at Clarkson Secondary School, placed 1st overall in the Early Immersion Category.
These young men have done a fantastic job of promoting French language education, and we are very proud of how they have represented both Clarkson S.S. and the Peel District School Board.
