Peel schools and worksites are smoke-free environments

​On Oct. 17, 2018, cannabis will be made legal by the federal government. The Peel District School Board remains committed to maintain school and work environments that are totally free of smoke. The vaping, smoking, holding or use of lighted tobacco, cannabis, herbal material (or any other combustible material) and electronic smoking devices are prohibited at all Peel schools and worksites.

Reserve your spot: Conference helps parents empower modern learners

​The Peel District School Board is hosting its annual parent conference, co-presented by the Peel Elementary Teachers' Local​, on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Mississauga Secondary School in Mississauga. After hearing from participants and staff, we are changing the traditional workshop model to an "un-conference" model, where attendees will create their own agenda, and explore all subject areas and experts, as if they were visiting a museum. This format will allow parents to visit and interact with each area and Peel board facilitators.

Important information regarding Brampton We Welcome the World Centre location move

As of October 24, Peel District School Board's Brampton We Welcome the World Centre will be moving from 25 Kings Cross Rd. to Bramalea Secondary School located at 510 Balmoral Dr.  The current Brampton Welcome Centre located at 25 Kings Cross Road., will be closed as of Oct. 19, 2018. Student Census

​A letter will be sent home on October 18th regarding the board’s upcoming Student Census. The Student Census will launch in November and will help the Peel District School Board better understand its students and their families to help inform and improve programming in our schools

Counting on You Fall 2018

​Counting on You (COY) registration is now available for students at David Suzuki.

Counting on You is offered after the school day for students in grades 9 & 10. This free weekly programming is designed to boost literacy and numeracy skills and empower learning in students. COY classes are offered based on interest.
