Peel District School Board Summer (2015) Job Opportunity 

The Peel District School Board will be hiring Summer School Student Assistants for the elementary summer school programs. They will be assigned to a summer school teacher to gain valuable experience working in a classroom setting offering Literacy, Numeracy and Learning Skill Development support for students in Grade 7 and 8.

 

When: Monday June 29th to Friday July 31st, 8:15am to 12:45pm, 4.5 hours per day (extended hours one day for field trips)

Where: Elementary summer school sites are located in Mississauga and Brampton

 

The Preferred Candidates Would Be:

  • current grade 11 or 12 students who excel in English and Mathematics
  • who are considering teaching as a career
  • have experience working with students (student orientation groups, coaching, camp counsellor, tutoring, etc.)
  • are interested in gaining classroom teaching experience or
  • are interested in working with students in a supportive role
