Graphic Design Management (aka flexography) is a rapidly growing package printing process with a very high demand for managers, structural designers, graphic designers, ink chemists, accountants and press operators.
Gordon Graydon offers this challenging technology-based program to students in the Peel District School Board. Our students will acquire specific qualifications required to pursue this field beyond high school.
Flexography is 350 billion dollar per year industry focusing on "flexible packaging" such as cardboard boxes, plastic bags and labels. Other products of the flexographic process include magazines, newspapers, paper towels and paper cups.
Students who complete their certification in Graphic Design Management typically choose a pathway to Ryerson University's exclusive 4-year Graphic Communications Management program, to Graphic Design program at York University, to a 2- year Packaging program at Mohawk College or to employment in the industry immediately after graduation.
Students will gain valuable experience in all aspects of the industry including the design and production of items specific to industry standards.
The program is supported by many associated businesses.
Students may apply in grade 9, 10 or 11.
