Dear Humberview Secondary School families and Town of Caledon residents:

The Peel District School Board and the Town of Caledon have agreed to enter into a partnership for the construction and operation of a revitalized track and field at Humberview Secondary School. The project will include the installation of an artificial turf field, new walking/running track with a synthetic surface, LED lighting and fencing on the sports field. The Town of Caledon and the Peel board expect renovations to the track and field to begin in June 2018, with an estimated completion date of September 2018.

If you are interested in learning more about this project, the Peel board and the Town of Caledon are holding an information session on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Humberview Secondary School, located at 135 Kingsview Dr. in Bolton. Staff from the Peel board, Town of Caledon and the project consultants will be on hand to respond to questions. All parents, students, staff and community members are encouraged to attend this information meeting to learn more about the project.

Humberview Secondary School will have priority access to the revitalized track and field during the school day for curricular and extra-curriculars activities. The Town of Caledon will have the opportunity to rent the field out to community groups outside of regular school hours. The Town of Caledon will be responsible for fee-setting and facility bookings outside of school use.

The Peel board is looking forward to partnering with the Town of Caledon to bring top-notch facilities and programming to our students and community. Thank you in advance for your patience and support.
