Math Scholars are students who are willing to spend time helping their peers with mathematics. These scholars are very eager to not only give assistance to anyone who needs it, but to provide a healthy, positive atmosphere for students looking to either seek math help, study techniques or even a place to peacefully work on homework or assignments. Math Scholars range from grade 9 students to grade 12 students, though junior scholars only assist during third lunch, and senior scholars only assist during fourth lunch.
Math scholars rotate throughout the week so each day, there are different scholars. A schedule of who is helping on each day is posted outside Room 236. If you become a scholar, you can choose to work one or two days a week and Ms. Dowey will choose one person per day to be the leader. For more information on how to join, please speak to Ms. Dowey in the Math Office.
