Letter regarding the passing of Bailey Colman

It is with great sadness that I inform that Bailey Colman, one of our graduating grade 12 students, passed away on Thursday evening in a tragic accident. Bailey's death is felt by everyone at the school and I know our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. He will be deeply missed.

We want our school community to know that Judith Nyman will be open on Monday to provide support to students, staff and friends. The Peel District School Board's Critical Incident Response Team members will be at our school on Monday morning to provide any counselling to Bailey's friends and classmates.

I know you join with us as we express our condolences to Bailey's family. Our flag will be lowered to half-mast to honour Bailey's memory until after his funeral. A table will be set up in the main foyer where anyone can leave messages of remembrance and condolence.

On Tuesday, July 5, a visitation will be held for Bailey at Brampton Funeral Home, from 4 to 8 p.m. On Wednesday, July 6, a funeral service will be held at Brampton Funeral Home and Cemetery, beginning at 2 p.m. in the chapel. The Brampton Funeral Home is located at 10061 Chinguacousy Rd. in Brampton.

Thank you,

Susan MacLellan
Principal

Parent resources help you support your child’s learning

In October 2014, the Peel District School Board sought input from families to help guide the development of resources that help parents and caregivers support their children's learning. The result is a new Help Your Child online resource centre on the Peel board's website with the topics families said were important to them.
