Peel board names Peter Joshua as new director of education

Joshua "committed to fostering a climate of academic optimism and mutual respect, built on honesty, transparency and trust," says board chair​.

The Peel District School Board has selected Peter Joshua as its new director of education. Joshua, currently Executive Superintendent of Leadership and Learning with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, will assume the new role on July 17, 2017. He succeeds retiring director Tony Pontes.

Online method of payment for school fees is coming soon to our school

We're excited to launch our new convenient and preferred method of payment, School Cash Online on June 1, 2017. Through School Cash Online, you'll be able to pay for school items like  field trips and pizza days directly from your computer or smartphone using eCheck, Visa or MasterCard.

What is School Cash Online?

School Cash Online is a safe and secure form of online payment with a parent-friendly portal that will allow you to:

  • Keep track of your children's school items and activity fees
  • Check account history
  • Print or view receipts
  • Make donations to Peel District School Board students and programs online and instantly receive a tax receipt. Donations to any other charitable organizations should NOT be made using the "Make a donation" button.
  • Pay for school fees with the click of a button
  • Receive notifications about upcoming events

Opportunity For College Scholarship.

  In 2010, the Russell Peters College Scholarship was established by Russell Peters.  He was a graduate of North Peel Secondary School in 1988.  This award is open to all students at J.N.S.S. who have  been accepted into a full-time, continuous college level program.  The scholarship is valued at $20,000.  Applications for the scholarship are available in Guidance.  The deadline for submission is May 26.

Commencement

​Commencement will be on June 28th starting at 7 pm in the school Cafeteria. Graduating students are asked to arrive at 6 pm to prepare for the ceremony.
