Placements

The Co-operative Education Department is equipped with an extensive database of employers who will accept secondary school co-op students. Students may request a placement at a specific company or organization.

The partnership that has developed between schools and business has given students the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, skills, and attitudes to ensure future career success.

Centralized Placements

The Peel District School Board in partnership with a number of local organizations has arranged placements in specialized areas of work.

These placements require a separate application form (obtained from the Co-op Department) which must be completed by the following deadlines:

Semester 1: Due April 30th (of the prior school year)
Semester 2: Due November 30th

Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP)
OYAP was designed to provide students with opportunities in numerous trades. It is an opportunity for students to earn apprentice hours in skilled trades under the supervision of a skilled professional.
