This means that all Grade 12 students wishing to participate in the commencement ceremony will need to ensure that their student activity fee, which includes the commencement fee is paid and complete all requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) by June 22, 2020.
To qualify for the OSSD, students need to:
a. earn 30 credits (18 compulsory and 12 elective).
b. successfully complete the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test.
c. submit proof of completion of 40 hours of community involvement.
Grade 12 students and their parents can view their academic status at any time by logging onto www.myblueprint.ca/peel . On MyBlueprint students can confirm their graduation status with respect to the above-mentioned criteria. This information may also be obtained and reviewed by making an appointment to speak with your teen's guidance counsellor.
Grade 12 students who are concerned that they may not meet one or more of the above graduation requirements by the commencement date are encouraged to speak with their guidance counsellor. Students still needing to complete part or all 40 hours of community involvement requirement can access more information at: http://schools.peelschools.org/sec/meadowvale/StudentServices/40Hours/.
