Mississauga Secondary school is the ONLY school in the Peel District School Board that offers the Explore High Skills (EHS) program in the Health and Wellness sector.

 

EHS is a specialized program choice for grade 9 and 10 students. It is available to students in all skill levels and in all pathways. It provides a unique learning experiences to engage students and allows them to focus their learning in Health and Wellness, build self-confidence, learn essential skills, and develop a sense of belonging in school and in the community.

 

Explore High Skills students will participate in the following 6 components throughout their first two years in high school:

  1. Focused Learning Activities
  2. Learning Skills
  3. Certification and Training
  4. Experiential Learning
  5. Pathway Planning
  6. Community Involvement

Applications are available in early November of the Grade 8 school year (prior to entering high school). For information on applying, please see a school guidance counsellor.
