OSSLT Information
The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) will be administered to all grade 10 students on March 29th, 2012. Those who were not successful last year will also be writing the test. Successful completion of the OSSLT is a graduation requirement.
The test is composed of reading selections with multiple-choice and open response items and writing questions involving long-writing tasks, short-writing tasks and multiple-choice questions.
In preparation for the test, grade 10 students will receive in-class assistance of some form. Test day procedures will be reviewed with the students prior to the test. Tutoring sessions will be made available weeks before the test during the lunch periods.
