Register for School

The Peel board serves children age four to 21 in regular day school.

When and where to register

Usually, you can register at the school your teen will attend. Contact the school to make an appointment to register, and complete the registration form. Please use the registration checklist to ensure you have all the required documents.

Check the map of our school boundary to see if you live in our attendance area or call the Peel board Planning department, 905-890-1010/1-800-668-1146 ext. 2212 for information about attendance boundaries.

Information to bring to register your teen for school

You need to provide all of the following information before you can register your teen for school. All documents must be original (photocopies are not accepted):

• proof of teen’s age — birth certificate or passport
• proof of address — copy of a purchase agreement or government-issued form (e.g. property tax bill) or monthly statement/letter from a financial institution or credit card statement or utility bill with your name and address
• proof of custody — teen must live with their parent(s) unless provided documentation supports an alternate living arrangement
• proof of immunization — proof that your teen has been immunized, according to the recommended immunization schedule in Ontario, to protect against the following:
• diphtheria
• mumps
• polio
• red measles
• rubella (German measles)
• tetanus

• to verify that your teen’s record is up-to-date
• to obtain the exemption form if your teen has not been immunized for medical reasons or because of a conflict of religion or conscience
• for information about how to have your teen immunized if you do not have an Ontario health card and can’t afford a doctor’s fees for immunization

Families new to Canada can register their teen for school at one of three We Welcome the World Centres:

• 25 King's Cross Road, Brampton
• 100 Elm Drive West, Mississauga
• 3131 Morning Star Drive, Mississauga
