Reference Guide

At Rick Hansen Secondary School, it is our expectation that students will acquire the skills and knowledge they need to conduct research ethically and effectively. To that end, the library has compiled a short reference guide offering information about plagiarism and how to avoid it, academic honesty in general, and instructions on how to do proper referencing according to MLA, APA or Chicago style. Here students will also find links to Source It (a Peel Board referencing guide) and links to various databases and other credible electronic sources which can be used to conduct research.
