Peer Tutor Program & Study Skills

  • Finding a tutor through school (peer tutors).
  • Developing effective studying skills.
 
A peer tutor program is available at Rick Hansen Secondary School
 
  • Senior students (tutors) who have excelled in a specific course are matched up with a student who requires extra assistance (tutee).
  • The initial meeting will be arranged by the counsellor in charge.
  • The time and location of each subsequent tutoring session is then mutually arranged by both students.
  • Sign up in the Counselling area to be a tutor or to seek extra help.

Independent Learning Centre

In this website, you can ask a teacher homework questions through online tutoring for free, as well as obtain information on careers. Also, students can earn Ministry of Education credits and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
