2018 Summer School co-op (2 credit). Registration will open on February 27, 2018.

Summer school co-op application packages will be available on February 27th on the Guidance department's Google Classroom as well as the Peel District School Board's summer school co-operative education website . The deadline to apply for summer co-op, including completion of the application form, and submission of a cover letter and resume to your Guidance Counsellor is Friday, March 23rd. After this date, summer school co-op application forms will not be accepted. Preference will be given to current S3 (grade 11) and S4 (grade 12) students.

 

The summer school career exploration program prepares students to make successful transitions to post-secondary training, work and education. Students will explore the realities and opportunities of the modern workplace, while refining their employability skills.

 

This program enables students two earn two (2) secondary credits upon successful completion of the program. If you’re interested in this opportunity, meet with your Guidance Counsellor to discuss.

  

 

SUMMER SCHOOL 2018 - PDSB Regsitration closes on June 29th, 2018

Summer School credits are offered in class or online to both Peel and non-Peel students. Both credit and non-credit English as a Second Language (ESL) courses are available through Summer School and require teacher recommendation. The admission procedures for each program may vary.

 

Both Peel and non-Peel residents may attend credit Summer School in class and/or through online credit courses. They may also attend non-credit ESL Summer School. The admission procedures for each program may vary.

SUMMER SCHOOL CREDIT COURSES (including ESL couses)

Information regarding summer school (non- co-op) credit courses is now available. It is a student's responsibility to see their guidance counsellor regarding appropriate summer school course choices.

 

Students who failed a course are eligible for either a 2-week or a 4 week summer school course. Students will need to discuss both options with their Guidance Counsellor.

 

Students wishing to take a course for the first time at summer school must discuss summer shool options with their guidance counsellor.

 

 

Peel District School Board Summer Course Offerings and Registration (Summer 2018)

For a full listing of summer school courses being offered by the Peel District School Board, click here. Summer school registration forms can be obtained online, from the RHSS guidance office, or the Guidance Google Classroom website commencing March 2nd, 2018.

 

 

Registration begins towards the end of April.  For information on how to register for online summer school courses visit Continuing Education online.  You will find the online registration form and student information sheet at this site. Peel District School Board 2018 Summer School Session Dates:

Session 1: July 3rd to July 16th, 8am-1:30pm

Session 2: July 17th to 30th, 8am-1:30pm

Full courses: July 3rd to July 30th, 8am-1:30pm

 

Online Summer School Course

An orientation session will be scheduled on July 3rd at​ Mississauga Secondary School.

 

The orientation schedule is:

Grade 10 courses - 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Grade 11 courses - 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

Grade 12 courses - 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 

 

Peel District School Board Late Walk-in Registration (Tuesday, July 3rd

- 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.at summer school sites for class with small or no waitlists

- At any summer school site offering the required course (please see the updated list of courses and sites)

- Must bring proof (report card, transcript, status sheet) that you can take that course

- Admission is dependent on availability. Space is limited.

 

 

Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board Summer Course Offerings and Registration (Summer 2018)

For a full listing of summer school courses being offered by the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, click here.  Summer school registration forms can be obtained from the guidance office commencing March 29th. Registration deadline is June 4th, 2018.

 

Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board 2018 Summer School Session Dates:

Session 1: July 4th to July 17th, 8am-1:30pm

Session 2: July 18th to 31st, 8am-1:30pm

Full courses: July 3rd to July 30th, 8am-1:30pm

 

Dufferin Peel Catholic Distric School Board Late Walk-in Registration

- July 4th at summer school sites from 2:00-5:00pm

- At any summer school site offering the required course (please see the updated list of courses and sites)

- Must bring proof (report card, transcript, status sheet) that you can take that course

- Admission is dependent on availability. Space is limited 

 

EduTravel Summer School Options

EduTravel provides Peel Disrict School Board students with the opportunity to earn compulsory credits towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Students have the opportunity to earn their:

-GLC/CHV credits

-ENG 3U credit

-ENG 4U credit

 

GLC 2O/CHV 2O: Taught by Peel teachers; students will visit Ottawa, Montreal, and  Quebec City;  students access and submit work in an online forum (similar to D2L); there are 3 pre-trip and 3 post-trip days; daily itnierary from 9am-10pm; all meals are included (except lunch); have free time on lunch hour; there is always an evening activity planned; takes place during the same time as summer school; cost is approximately $1,660.
 
ENG 3U/4U: 'Spirit of America' - 14-day travel itinerary to Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C (students will study novels related to/based on the cities they visit), students access and submit work in an online forum (similar to D2L); 14 days spent on the road; 4 pre-trip days; 4 post trip days, daily itnierary from 9am-10pm; all meals are included (except lunch); have free time on lunch hour; there is always an evening activity planned; takes place during the same time as summer school; cost is approximatley $2,990.
