40 hours to graduate – Start this summer

​All students in Ontario secondary schools are required to complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement in order to obtain their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Students are encouraged to start accumulating community involvement hours in the summer after grade 8.

Student trustees elected for the 2019-20 school year

​Kenisha Arora and Prabhleen Nar have been elected as student trustees for the 2019-20 school year. Kenisha Arora, from Glenforest Secondary School, will represent schools south of Highway 401, and Prabhleen Nar, from Louise Arbour Secondary Sc hool, will represent schools north of Highway 401.

Grade 12 students wishing to return for a fifth year

​If you are in grade 12 and are going to finish this year with 28-30 credits, please complete the Google form to request courses for Sept 2019.  

Students are not guaranteed a timetable in September.  Students will be contacted mid-September if there are spaces in classes. 

Other options for students missing their final credits or wishing to upgrade include Summer School, Night School and Peel Alternative School.

Summer School 2019

​Secondary School full credit and 55-hour session classes will be offered at 12 high schools throughout the Board this summer.  Peel eLearning-Summer classes, two-credit Co-operative Education, ESL and Summer Study/Travel programs are also available. ​
