International Bazaar at the Woodlands
Coming together as one!
Every year for the past decade, the staff and students at The Woodlands School have put together an International Bazaar. This inclusive event provides students from grades 7-12 to work collaboratively to represent a country of their choice. The students organize country booths, where they display information about the culture, geography, history and literature amongst many other valuable pieces of knowledge. Of course, they also prepare and sell the food of that country.
The day also allows students to highlight their talents, as song, dances and other creative performances take place for everyone's viewing pleasure. Students and staff volunteer several hours of their time weeks in advance to make this event a success. The money raised goes back into the school lunch program, offering some snacks to students who may have skipped a meal.
This year the International Bazaar took place on Friday, April 25th. This event was once again a success as students and staff came together to represent 16 various countries around the world. This year we even had more groups take the stage to highlight performances from their country. Once again, thank you to all the staff who supported the event!
