Ministry of Education shares letter with families regarding extended school closures

​On May 19, the Ministry of Education announced​ that all publicly funded schools in Ontario, including those in the Peel District School Board, will remain closed for the remainder of the school year, to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Minister of Education Stephen Lecce shared a  letter to families regarding the extended school closures.​​

The Ministry of Education officially announced that all publicly funded schools in Ontario will remain closed for the remainder of this school year to further prevent the spread of COVID-19.​​

Peel families invited to join Forest of Reading virtually and read-along with Canadian authors

From June 2 to 5, the Peel District School Board will host its annual Forest of Reading Celebration online to celebrate literacy. The week-long celebrations will feature nine renowned Canadian authors reading their books during a live segment, and answering questions submitted by Peel students. It will be available on the main page of the board's YouTube channel

Student Census elementary, board results now available

​Last school year, the Peel District School Board conducted its first board-wide Student Census to better understand and meet the needs of students and families. After careful and thorough analysis, the Peel board's Research and Accountability department has released elementary and overall board Student Census reports, including demographic information and school experiences of more than 127,000 students and families.
