The Ministry of Education officially announced that all publicly funded schools in Ontario will remain closed for the remainder of this school year to further prevent the spread of COVID-19.​​

​As you know, all Peel board schools will be releasing Report Cards electronically to students later this month. To ensure that this new distribution method is secure, safe and protects the privacy of students, we will be sending a test email on June 5 to all student email accounts in preparation of report card distribution. View instructions for students/families.

Student Census elementary, board results now available

​Last school year, the Peel District School Board conducted its first board-wide Student Census to better understand and meet the needs of students and families. After careful and thorough analysis, the Peel board's Research and Accountability department has released elementary and overall board Student Census reports, including demographic information and school experiences of more than 127,000 students and families. Kindergarten registration now available online for 2020-21 school year

​The Peel District School Board is now accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2020-21 school year through its new online kindergarten registration portal. While schools remain closed due to COVID-19, families who have children born in 2016 can register for kindergarten virtually, if they haven't already done so. Peel schools recognize Pride Month in June

​Pride Month takes place in June to celebrate and recognize the many achievements and contributions of 2SLGBTQ+ communities.

Throughout the month of June, the Pride flag will be raised at all Peel schools and worksites to demonstrate that our schools are safe, inclusive and welcoming environments where students, staff and families who identify as a part of 2SLGBTQ+ communities are valued and supported.​​

During Pride Month we encourage staff, students, families and our communities to spend some time learning about the many achievements and contributions of the 2SLGBTQ+ communities in addition to learning about their history, trials and tribulations.

​​The Peel District School Board recognizes both Asian Heritage Month and Jewish Heritage Month in the month of May. We encourage staff, students, families and communities to spend time learning about the rich culture, heritage and contributions of Asian Canadians and Jewish Canadians, who throughout history, have done so much to make Canada the culturally diverse, compassionate and prosperous country we know today.​

Elementary teachers to begin phase 3 work-to-rule on Jan. 13 unless progress is made at provincial bargaining table

On Jan. 9, 2020, Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) announced that job action would escalate in public elementary schools across Ontario beginning Jan. 13, unless progress is made at the provincial bargaining table. Phase 3 of ETFO work-to-rule is set to begin next week.

​The Ministry of Education’s revised Elementary Health and Physical Education (HPE) curriculum was introduced on Aug. 21, 2019. The Peel District School Board is implementing the curriculum in alignment with our Equity and Inclusive Education Policy #54, the Ministry of Education’s Equity and Inclusive Education Strategy, and our obligation to honour human rights that are protected under the Ontario Human Rights Code.
