The Peel District School Board's Regional Learning Choices Programs (RLCP) empowers students by providing them with opportunities to explore their skills in a particular area of interest such as the arts, business, technology, sports, skilled trades and leadership. The board offers 6 different elementary Regional Learning Choices Programs across Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon.
Elementary Regional Learning Choices Programs (grade 6 entry) applications are open on the board’s website to current grade 5 students for the 2021-22 school year, with the exception of the Arts program at Queen Elizabeth Sr. PS, which starts in grade 7 and is open to grade 6 students. Applications must be submitted by March 5 at 11:59 p.m. Click here for more information on key program dates.
As part of the board's commitment to equity and inclusion, and to address significant disproportionalities in enrollment and equitable representation of African, Caribbean and Black, First Nations, Inuit and Métis students, the RLCP application form will include a new self-identification section. As such, all African, Caribbean and Black, First Nations, Inuit and Métis students who self-identify on the application form and meet the criteria for admission will be accepted into the program without participating in the random selection process.
