Actively in Motion—middle school
The Peel District School Board provides one regional Actively in Motion (AIM) program for middle school students across Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon. The only entry point, for this three year program is from grade 5 to 6. The Peel board offers the AIM program at Royal Orchard Middle School.
The regional AIM program has been created to increase student motivation and engagement in the learning process.
The AIM program focuses on:
athletic skill training and development
- daily physical training and fitness
healthy eating and wellness
school and community involvement in co-curricular athletics
developing leadership skills, character, and the ability to work as a team
career awareness and pathways
certification opportunities at each grade level

Applicants—local and out-of-region
Our Regional Learning Choices Programs are open to all eligible students—see program information for details. Students who meet the criteria for acceptance to the programs and who live in Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga will be offered spots first.
Students who meet the program criteria and who live outside of Peel Region will be offered spots once local student applicants have been accommodated. In some cases, all spots may be offered to students who live in Peel.
