​PLASP Child Care Service

Since 1975, PLASP Child Care Services has built a solid reputation as an excellent provider of Before and After School programs, as well as Early Learning and Child Care.

A charitable organization operating on a not-for-profit basis, charitable organization, PLASP provides care and early learning to more than 15,000 children from over 13,000 families annually. PLASP's before and after school programs are located in over 230 locations in Toronto and Peel Region.

Children's Service (Peel)

​We provide financial help to pay for licensed child care for eligible families. We also offer support programs and services for parents and caregivers with young children and/or children with special needs.


HEAL - Help End Abuse for Life Network

HEAL is dedicated to helping children in the Region of Peel heal from their exposure to domestic violence. The Network is a vibrant and dynamic collaboration between the following social service and settlement agencies in Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon: 905-450-1608 ext. 119 or ext. 134

The Mississauga Public Library offers on-line resources and programs for children 0-12. We encourage every family to have a public library card.


EarlyOn Shelter Bay 

Free Inclusive and Welcoming Programs For all parents and caregivers with children up to 6 years of age. EarlyON Centre at Shelter Bay Public School. Open for drop-in Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 12:30pm.
• Play-based learning experiences like painting, drawing, building, creating, reading, storytelling and singing
• A place for you to make connections with other families and community service providers
• Professional, experienced staff provide child development and community service resources
• Parent and caregiver workshops


Safe Centre of Peel

The Safe Centre of Peel provides a range of services of services, in one location, for those who have experienced violence and abuse in relationships. The free and confidential conselling coordinate shleter placements, assist with government services, provide parent education, offer family court support, and family advice legal services.  Free child minding service while accessing services.  905-450-4650

To ensure inclusive, coordinated, and effective collaboration among all relevant stakeholders involved in the collection and distribution of food to those experiencing hunger in Peel. 
To provide a platform to address the sector’s needs and priorities as they evolve. 
To create efficiencies, share food, best practices, information, and identify gaps to provide the best services to their clients.


Our main services include Autism Services, Communication Services, Infant Hearing Screening, Infant Hearing Services, Medical Services, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Vision Services. Our goal is to help each child we serve to build on his/her unique strengths, and to maximize opportunities for independence, health and well-being. Learning Disabilities Association of Peel Region:

Learning Disabilities Association of Peel Region (LDAPR) is one of the only charitable organizations in Peel region offering comprehensive programs and resources for children/youth and parents who are different abilities and/or Learning Disabilities. 

  • 10% of the population in Canada has some form of Learning Disability
  • LD’s are not “cured” they are supported
  • Without supports children may have a greater rate of social issues, mental health concerns and lower rate of educational success

Our mission at LDAPR is to provide education and services and to advance the full participation of children, youth and adults with learning disabilities in today’s society. Our successful interventions with children and youth ensure that, as adults, they can succeed in whatever path they choose to follow.

We are a local chapter of Learning Disabilities Association of Canada (LDAC) and Ontario (LDAO).​

School Mental Health Ontario

School Mental Health Ontario is a provincial implementation support team. We help school districts enhance student mental health through the use of evidence-based strategies and services. Since 2011, we’ve worked alongside the Ministry of Education, English and French school districts and school authorities, and a number of provincial education and health organizations to develop a systematic and comprehensive approach to school mental health.​​   and Covid-19 support for students at

FASD Connection Peel: FASD Caregiver Support Group 

A parent-run group offering encouragement to those supporting individuals with FASD.  Adoptive parents, foster parents, grandparents and birth parents are invited to share their experiences, strategies and knowledge in a safe, non-judgemental environment. Tangerine Walk-In Counselling

Tangerine Walk-In Counselling: Tangerine supports children, youth and families when they need it most. They help our clients develop a clear plan of action that recognizes and builds on their own strengths and abilities. Sometimes clients are referred to other services but, in many cases, a single visit to Tangerine is all clients need in order to feel better about their situation and take the necessary steps toward positive change.  Phone contact is 905-795-3530


Kerry's Pace Autism Services

Kerry's Place Autism Services: Kerry's Place Autism Services is  committed to enhancing the quality of life of persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) since 1974 by being leaders in developing and providing evidence-based supports; and by building capacity by sharing our knowledge. Kerry's Place is  Canada's largest service provider for children, youth and adults with ASD and serve more than 8,000 people with ASD and their families each year. Through collaborative efforts and a dedicated staff, assistance is provided to enable communities to increase their capacity which has resulted in the growth of services available to people with ASD and their families, Our closest location's phone number is 905-363-1111

We Welcome the World

Do you want to learn about the education system, and service and programs in your community? The welcome centre is the best place to start.  Call 905-366-8791 to book an appointment at the location that is most convenient.for you.  Each location is about a 20 minute drive from our school.

The welcome centres are open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., all year round. Families can get assistance from staff in many languages.

Brampton Beast 
The Brampton Beast are a professional ice hockey team based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. An affiliate of the National Hockey League's Ottawa Senators and the American Hockey League's Belleville Senators. We also enjoy a positive relationship with this hockey organization and recenlty some school community members have recently attended a game through a school-team partnership. See​
