Course Changes for 2020-21 School Year

Students studying IN PERSON:

Please realize that we may not be able to accommodate your change requests. When we sent the verification forms in May we clearly stated that this was your last opportunity to change your preferred courses. Now that the timetable is set, and staffing decisions have been made, in September the only changes that will be made will be for missing pre-requisites or pathway changes.

If one of these situations apply to you, you can request a course change using this form:

Please note that you will only be able to submit this form once, so be sure of your request before sending it.

Students studying ONLINE:

Timetables for online students will be emailed to you soon, and after that your counsellors will have some ability to make changes, in the case of:

  • You have already taken that course and passed it, and so do not need it anymore.
  • You do not have the pre-requisite for the course.
  • Pathway changes.
If one of these situations apply to you, you can request a course change using this form:
(This form will become active at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2020)

Course selection is a continual process and should be based on an individual student's interests, abilities and goals. To assist with this process, students are strongly encouraged to speak to their teachers about proposed classes, read course descriptions online or in the Common Course Calendar, talk to their counsellors and parents, and speak to students who have previously taken these classes. Students choose their classes online—a password is required which can be obtained through the school.

Course Changes

Once a student chooses a course, they are expected to remain enrolled in that course, unless there are special circumstances. Students are encouraged to speak to their teachers and counsellors, should any difficulties and/or challenges arise.
