Alternative Programs
Alternative Programs exist to assist students in a variety of ways. Courses are selected according to the individual needs of students determined by his/her counsellor and the Head of Alternative Programs.
Independent Learning Centre:
The ILC program benefits students who work best in an independent setting and have extenuating circumstances that keep them from attending a regular classroom setting. The students use Ministry based materials to complete their credits.
Credit Recovery:
This program provides support to students that have experienced failure in one of the core compulsory credits at the Grade 9 or 10 level (English, Math, Science, Geography & History). Students must make a commitment to the program and will focus on the areas of the course( s) where gaps in learning
exist. Students must have a mark between 35- 45% to recover a credit.
