YMCA Youth Employment Services

Will help you with identifying opportunities to help you write effective resumes and prepare for interviews. A variety of employment services will help find the job that’s right for you.


The Youth Job Connection Program provides career development activities and training opportunities to youth aged 15-29. Youth complete a minimum of 60 hours of job readiness workshops before being placed into a work environment. Mentors are experienced persons who act as role models to youth in the YJC Program. They establish supportive relationships with their mentees, help youth improve their interpersonal skills, share resources with them and prepare them for workplace interactions


Youth Job Connection Program

The Youth Job Connection program serves youth aged 15 to 29 who experience multiple and/or complex barriers to employment by providing more intensive supports beyond traditional job search and placement opportunities.

Each year, 40 students are selected from high schools and CEGEPs across Canada to come to Ottawa and work as Pages in the House of Commons.



Outdoor Pool Lifeguarding​

Students agd 16+ who possess a current NLS certification are encouraged to explore this summer work opportunity.
